"China Leather Capital" Holds First-Ever Leather Innovation Summit
In a bid to drive innovation and foster collaboration within the leather industry, the first Leather Innovation Summit was recently held in Huadu, Guangzhou, renowned as the "China Leather Capital." The event, organized by the local government in partnership with industry associations, brought together over 200 leather manufacturers, designers, researchers, and suppliers.
The summit featured a series of keynote speeches, panel discussions, and product showcases. Experts shared insights on the latest trends in sustainable leather production, digital design technologies, and global market dynamics. A highlight of the event was the launch of a new industry innovation platform, which aims to facilitate knowledge sharing and technology transfer among industry players.
"The Leather Innovation Summit is a milestone for our industry," said Zhang Wei, president of the Huadu Leather Industry Association. "It provides a platform for us to explore new opportunities, address common challenges, and work towards a more sustainable and innovative future."
With over 8,800 leather and bag manufacturers and 16,800 supporting service providers, Huadu plays a crucial role in the global leather supply chain. The summit is expected to further enhance the region's competitiveness and drive the transformation of the leather industry towards higher value-added and environmentally friendly production.
